If you go to the eastern corner of Malta, you will be taken in by the beautiful sea front and the quiet, soothing atmosphere that welcomes you to Marsascala.

Marsascala (or Marsaskala) is a remote sea-side village in Malta that started life as a small harbour in the head of Marsascala bay. Eventually, and like other towns in Malta, it started growing and developing into an ideal residence that offers you a quiet ambience, while still providing you with a complete range of facilities and amenities.

Marsascala Bay is largely edged by promenade, with low shelving rock ledges cut with salt pans on the seaward face of Ras iċ-Ċerna, which continue on round the eastern point, past l-Abjad iż-Żgħir, and into Il-Bajja ta' San Tumas (St Thomas Bay) to the south. St Thomas bay offers you a good quick swim.

The town has a winter population of 10,024 people (Nov 2005), but this augments to around 20,000 in summer. Even though modern villas and bungalows have been built in recent years, this picturesque fishing village still retains a number of old, character homes at the village core. The residents living in these buildings have well managed to keep in pristine condition, which goes to make Marsascala an ideal residence in Malta.

Marsascala and Tourism
Marsascala is a popular attraction with tourists, the population of which triples in the summer months.
